This is a common question. The two are very similar and both consist of multiple windows that have been joined together to protrude out from the structure of a house. In a nutshell, the difference is this; a bow window is an arc-shaped structure that consists of several windows (usually casement windows) that have been combined into one, whereas a bay window is a three-sectioned structure that features a central ‘picture’ window, with a smaller type on either side. If you want to tell at a glance, bow windows tend to have a rounded appearance whereas bay windows have sharper corner angles.
Our uPVC bow and bay windows provide excellent levels of energy efficiency and can be relied on to help your customers stay comfortable. They can achieve an A+ energy rating and a 1.4 W/m²K U-value when double glazed. As a side effect, this also makes them effective insulators against external noise.
Yes, our entire range of uPVC windows come with double glazing as standard but we have an optional triple glazing upgrade for anyone that wants to get an even stronger performance from their windows.
Yes, we can incorporate discreet trickle vents into the designs to provide additional ventilation and reduce the chance of condensation forming.
